PR Submission Service FAQS

FAQS About The PR Submission Service

Is it guaranteed my press release will be picked up by Google News, Yahoo News and MSN/Bing?

No. We say "submit" to these indexes however, the method of submission is via crawl. What that means is no one can actually "submit" a press release to any of these sites, per se. The site that "submits" a press release for example to Google News, is approved by Google News as a PR Site and the site then adds the press release to their site and places a link to it in their xml sitemap. Google crawls the site regularly, usually on the hour and will crawl those links. Whether or not they actually index the Press Release is up to them and no one can gaurantee they actually will. In most cases they will however. Same goes with Yahoo and MSN/Bing and in fact some are more difficult than others.

Is it guaranteed anyone will pick up or read my press release?

Actually, not really. All we can do is submit the information to the sources. This is why our program hand-picks the sources, so that you will have the greatest chance of acquiring exposure versus other programs which simply send out massive feeds all over the place most of which will have no value to you at all and your release will never even be read.

But don't be too disheartened by that. This is simply the "disclaimer" of the harsh reality associated with "Getting Press". The good news is that you WILL benefit from the program. You will benefit because the feeds we use will cause your press release to be listed on sites with HIGH Google Page Rank, the press release information WILL be crawled by Google and you WILL most likely achieve higher rankings and more traffic because of it. We are in the search marketing business and this program is extremely helpful with your search marketing- that makes it worth every penny. And if you happen to get some media attention out of it too, then you get a HUGE extra bonus out of the deal! But don't go into this thinking or expecting you will be on Fox News or CNN tomorrow as that probably isn't going to happen (although it could).

What does "Hand-Picked" Media Outlets really mean?

Most PR Submission sites tout that they send your Press release to thousands and thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of "Media Outlets". Maybe they do, maybe they don't. Those that do simply send a massive RSS feed or email blast to "opted-in" subscribers on their "journalist" list and the blast contains dozens or hundred of press releases listed by title with the link directly to each press release on the forwarding website. This shotgun approach is only minimally effective since you are basically lost in the pack and only if your title is actually glanced over and then found interesting might you be seen.

For example, if your press release is about a new cookbook it doesn't make any sense to send it to Aviation Weekly where it will just get thrown in the trashbox. For the most optimum results, your Press Release needs to be targeted where you will get the best possible return and the most potential.

But, the funny thing is, the submission company has done their job, they "submitted" you.

We are not about just "submitting" your press release and leading you to believe that is the magic answer. We are about trying to help you actually be successful. That's the difference.

We maintain the latest database of newswires, magazines, newspapers, radio stations, websites and other media outlets from virtually every industry and category. There are about 35,000 that are actually worth submitting to.  We hand select from that list the one's most likely to be interested in your Release. This means we select categories specific to what you are talking about. This also means you have a much greater chance of success and energy isn't wasted by us or you sending out blasts like fodder in a cannon that is just a waste of resources.

Please note too- we are constantly refining and improving this program. as we make changes we will post them here.
