If you have a domain that is hosted elsewhere, or not hosted yet, moving is a simple process. In fact, you don't really need to "move" your domain. All you have to do is point the nameservers to our server and this is a very simple process.
When you sign up with us you will immediately receive a welcome email. This email will provide you with the names of our nameservers. Then you simply need to login to the account wherever your domain name is held (The Registrar). Most registrars provide a simple method for you to modify the nameservers. A few registrars require you to place a call to them and they make the modification.
We're familiar with most of them so if you need any assistance just let us know and we'll be glad to try and help.
Changing the nameservers should take all of about 2 minutes. It can take up to 72 hours for the change to take effect but generally is much quicker, often in just a few minutes. Meanwhile. you'll already have access to your account with us if you've signed up so you can still begin to upload files for your website, set up email or whatever else you'd like to do. Our system is very easy to get around.
If you are transferring to us and have a website hosted elsewhere which you also want to transfer, be certain to make a backup of the website to your computer. You can do this easily with FTP - if you need instructions or assistance, we'd be glad to help facillitate the transfer for you, we've done thousands of them without a hitch.
If you are purchasing a domain name directly from us when you sign up, your domain will be active within minutes of signing up!
